In 2023, the natural rubber processing equipment manufactured by Weida Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. of Zhanjiang City was officially put into operation at a rubber factory in Myanmar, with an annual production capacity of 35,000 metric tons. The equipment has been optimized for material ratios, making it more flexible in use and capable of processing a variety of raw materials.
The supply and demand dynamics of the global natural rubber market also impact Myanmar's rubber industry. In 2023, global natural rubber production reached 14.29 million metric tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Myanmar are among the world's primary suppliers of natural rubber.
